Don't let congress break the Internet!  Have a look at the video below and take action.  If you would rather contact your elected representatives directly you can find that information here: http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml. Regardless of method, take ACTION! If you read blogs, connect via social media or otherwise use the Internet you will be negatively impacted by the passing of SOPA/PIPA.

Central Phoenix Relay for Life

Hello!  I've been involved with Relay for life since 1994 and it is a great event that everyone should experience at some point.  I did take a couple of years off where I did not participate but have done a number of different Relays.  For the last 7 or so years I've made the Central Phoenix Relay for Life my Relay.  We have grown some over the years moving from an elementary school field to Camelback High School's football field.  I would love to invite you to find out more about Relay.

If you are interested in learning more about Central Phoenix Relay for Life please visit our event web site at www.rflcentralphoenix.com.  There are opportunities to participate in a number of ways and if you are a cancer Survivor please consider signing up for our Survivor Dinner and Lap.

If you are interested in donating please consider visiting my participant page.

Blogging again...

I'm back...having closed out my personal domain over a year ago now (maybe longer) I've decided to start up this blog again just to see if I have anything to say.  If you look around you will see that I haven't posted here in a long time.  Well, with that said, welcome! Not sure who I'm talking to, probably myself, but that is not a new thing for me either.  I will attempt a weekly post weekly.

It is Sunday afternoon and like most I'm in Starbucks working on producing and uploading this week's message from Pastor Brent Maxwell of Gloria Dei Lutheran church.   And, it is my work with Gloria Dei that actually has me looking at this blog again.  We need to engage in other ways with members of our church (and whoever else is interested, all welcome) and looking at having a Pastor's Blog to incorporate into our church website.

Getting back on Blogger is my way of checking out what has changed since I was last here.  Will it serve our needs as a Pastor's Blog?  How will it look "wrapped" in our church site?  What additional integration is available with other social media?  Is it easier to incorporate pictures (the reason for that horrible picture in this post)? Links? Other ways of publishing to the blog...via email?  As I'm typing this I've already answered some of my questions and will continue to research others.

So, I'm back and looks like much has changed in the blogger environment...for the good.  Talk to you (myself) next week!

Blog Activity Has Moved...

I know that nobody visits this site but just in case someone stumbles across this I have moved my blogging activity to Chuck's Experimental Blog. There is much more activity there and it has actually been visited by some. So...come on by!

Camping Trip!

This last weekend I had the awesome pleasure of going camping with my daughter, we had a great time! She is almost a "teen" and just the fact that she wanted to go with me made me feel good. This was really her first time camping and she did great. She looked over at me while we were sitting outside our tent and said; "I'm having fun, this is very peaceful and relaxing." That brought a smile to my face!

She has already indicated that she wanted to do this again. The trip we went on was part of an organized outing with a group called, "Know Your Resources". Their next trip is scheduled for the last weekend in July...we are currently planning to attend, we will see what happens!

I am very thankful for the opportunity to create positive memories. SB Rocks!!!!
